Comparison of the Effect of 8- and 12-Week Aerobic Exercise with Calorie Restriction on the Bax and Bcl-2 Expression in Rats with Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease

Background: In addition to oxidative stress, the apoptosis of liver cells plays a main role in non-alcoholic steatohepatitis pathogenesis. Nevertheless, mechanisms response cell (NASH) models caused by high-fat diet, as well effects exercise with and without calorie restriction on these mechanisms, have not been assessed date. Objectives: The present study aimed investigate two protocols damage rats fatty disease (NAFLD). Methods: Sixty-four male Wistar were subjected diet for eight weeks divided randomly into groups: Control, (CR), aerobic (AE), + (AC) twelve weeks. Also, groups that had normal free access food named sham groups. training exercised treadmill five sessions week Two-way ANOVA was utilized data analysis at significance level 0.05. Results: According findings, both 8- 12-week protocols, expression Bax proteins showed significant decrease compared control group (P < 0.05). Bcl-2 protein significantly increased than no difference between protocols. Conclusions: It revealed caloric independent protocol duration can improve hepatocytes NAFLD.
